Associate Creative Director – Motion Graphics and Video
We are looking for an experienced Associate Creative Director with a Motion Graphics and Video Editing background to manage creative projects from concept creation to completion. You will be part of the Video Department and will be responsible for developing and transforming concepts into creative solutions and surpass the established norms of narratives and animation all while ensuring client objectives are achieved.
Reporting to the Creative Director, you will help with managing a team of video editors and animators as well as shaping, overseeing and conceptualizing creative outputs.
Conceptualize and set the Creative Direction for projects, along with the Creative Director and Account Managers.
Work with the Creative Director and Account Managers to assimilate creative briefs to the Motion Graphics team
Guide, supervise and review the work produced by the team
Responsible for maintaining design guidelines throughout production
Responsible for ensuring timely delivery while keeping track of man hours spent on each project
Understand the implications of performance, style, quality and continuity, technical, scheduling and budgetary requirements
Communicate regularly with the motion graphics team and support teams to minimize errors and inefficiencies
Attend any relevant meetings to promote effective communication throughout the team
Keep up on current technology trends and tools (hardware and software) that best suit the motion graphics team(and the company) in the development of a stronger creative technical environment
Work with the Creative Director and Business Stakeholders to formulate bids and timelines for ambiguous sections of the project involving creativity and technology
Minimum required experience is 8-10 years in the field of Motion Graphics and Video production for marketing purposes
Demonstrated expertise in the following: animation, video edits and sound design.
Strong working knowledge of Adobe CC (FCP and Davinci Resolve will be an addition to your repertoire)
Lead the plan of projects from start to finish — working collaboratively with the content team to ensure solutions are realized and delivered to the highest quality of creative standards.
Work closely with the clientele and the creative director during the kick-off to create strong concepts from the initial briefing.
Oversee the creation of social media assets – from memes to high production films – as well as having a greater understanding of wider media (TV, OTT , gaming etc) in order to identify how social-first ideas can span to deliver a 360 media campaign.
Keep up to date with current cultural, category, and video trends – must feel comfortable providing visual references to support and sell ideas.
Support the creative lead to ensure that the quality of videos and animation from the team is maintained to a high standard.
